Epson - GS3 Eco Solvent Ink for S7160 / S8160 / S9160

Epson UltraChrome GS3 is Epson’s fourth-generation eco-solvent ink developed for the SureColor S7160, S8160 and S9160 wide-format printers. Building on the performance of UltraChrome GS and GS2, GS3 delivers a wider colour gamut, increased pigment density, improved gloss and faster drying, all in a nickel-free, low-odour formulation. Available in 800 ml and 1.5 L pouches, GS3 provides flexible capacity options for different production requirements. It is also GREENGUARD Gold certified, making it suitable for use in air-conditioned office environments without specialist ventilation.

Colours and sizes

• Standard colours — 800 ml / 1.5 L: Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow — compatible with S7160, S8160 and S9160.

• Light colours — 800 ml / 1.5 L: Light Cyan and Light Magenta — compatible with S8160 and S9160.

• Extended colours — 800 ml / 1.5 L: Light Black, Orange, Red, White and Green — available for the S9160 only.
  

Usage notes

• Check the correct ink colour, part number and pouch size for your specific SureColor model and ink configuration before ordering.

• S7160: Uses a 4-colour CMYK configuration and supports 800 ml pouches only. Light Cyan, Light Magenta and the extended colour options are not supported.

• S8160: Uses a 6-colour configuration (CMYK + Light Cyan + Light Magenta) and supports both 800 ml and 1.5 L pouches.

• S9160: Uses an 11-colour configuration, with Light Black, Orange, Red, White and Green available exclusively for this model.

• Initial installation: A portion of the ink in the first pouches installed is used during printer initialisation.

• Handling: Always follow the relevant SureColor operator guide and the instructions supplied with each ink pouch when handling or installing ink.
